In today's economy it's not uncommon to see businesses go under. It's a sad fact of economic life. Unfortunately, when something like this happens the company will not only suffer, but also the customer. You might want to take this into consideration when buying binoculars. Usually with a more expensive investment people buy warrantees. They can range from 1 to 4 years. When buying Nikon binoculars you probably won't give the warrantee purchase a second thought. The company has a solid foundation so you know they'll still be around if you need them. Though, smaller companies can't make that claim. They could go belly up before your warrantee is up.
